INFO ON USING IF-2000 BOARD, PANADAPTER,AND POWER SDR SOFTWARE

Below are my setting as they say read the Manual

It takes three components to make this work on the Yaesu FT-950

1. IF-2000 board installed inside of the FT-950 

2. A Panadapter my choice was the LP-Pan by Larry N8LP 

 3. External Sound Card

E-MU-0200 /

POWER SDR/IF VERSION V1.19.3.5 SETTING

   Load the program

   make sure your E-MU-0200 USB is turn on

   EMU SETUP

 1. On the EMU box the far left control labeled (L-Mic / Hi-Z / Line) Set to 10:00 o'clock

 2. Next (R - Hi-Z / Line) Set to 12:00 o'clock

                                   

 3. Bottom of the EMU there are 2 switches set both to Lift ground

 4. Were done with the unit if you get a ghost on the screen adjust these to controls to remove it

     adjust very slowly wait for the program to check up with the setting.

 

   I now have a great looking display, with no center hump or very little, flat response and very good image

  rejection with  the  PowerSDR - IF or any of the WinRad versions.  Link to E-MU 0202.

  E-MU now has an upgraded USB 2.0 audio interface, the E-MU 0204. Described as a successor to the 0202,

  The new 0204 adds another pair of 24-bit outputs.

POWER SDR SOFTWARE SETUP

  1. Power SDR loaded but turned off

 2. General setting looks like this

 3. Audio like what I have. make sure the ( buffer size is set to 2048 )

 4. Sample rate set to 48000    If set higher you'll get ghosts on the screen

NOW TURN ON THE PROGRAM PUSH THE START BUTTON

  Go to If Setup when making changes use the OK  KEY  ONLY **** NOT THE APPLY KEY

PICTURE USING PANADAPTER

  1. In the main program screen push the Center Button then push the Zoom button to 1X

NEXT CHANGE TO PANAFALL OR WATERFALL SCREEN

  1. Left side of the main Program are two area buttons that need to be set

  2. AGC set to Med

  3. Preamp  to off

  4. In the off position you get a Pink/Red screen

  5. Low setting   orange/red

  6. Med setting   green/yellow

  7. High setting    blue/lt. blue
