Windows 7 how to make it work in 32 byte mode

http://www.wb5rvz.com/sdr/ensemble/psdriq.htm
****************************************************************

This is how I have mine setup for SDR-1000

Have to run in Compatibly mode and also run as Administrator for

Virtual Audio program and the Virtual Com Program

 Window 7 Delta 44 Setup

Here are screen shots of what you need to do get the unit working the biggest thing is to set LP-port several to choose from. Once you have the right one and you push start the radio will click on, You need to plug your speaker in the  sound card box.

1. What computer software to use ? When the this Flex was manufacture it was Window XP 32 byte

Not Windows 7 64 Byte same with most of the software.

Some have had luck down loading soundcard software for Vista, Windows7, 32byte and 64 byte from the

http://www.wb5rvz.com/sdr/ensemble/psdriq.htm

manufacture web site. You are probably going to need to run in Compatibly mode and also run as Administrator.

Tell me how you have your setup will add it here with your name a call.   (Send mail to Jim )Sends email to Jim w4wwj

2. The software I use is Power SDR v2.0.22 this is ok for me the new software does more thing in filter

section but you be the judge.

3. You did install Power SDR from above list and install your sound card software ?PowerSDR™ is a trademark of FlexRadio Systems

4. Connect all cables

5. You did install the cable from the computer to the sound card

(need this do this after you install Power SDR) I started with Beta v1.6.3

reason for this the manual shows screen shots of a version close to this one

Item 10 from above picture must be connected to you computer this is a printer port LP port 25 pin if you computer does have one need to install a card. Sorry if have a laptop isn't going to work with this Flex.

Unless you have a DR9 connector, a lot of the older laptop had this option.

Next problem with laptop no firewire most of the old external sound systems use this firewire, but you can fine a few that use usb.

                      **********************************************************************************

If you have a Delta 44 you don't need any FIREWIRE, so that might help some of you out

This what the cable looks like. Used on the Delta 44 and the Edirol FA-66 sold on Amazon and Ebay  about $6.00

Hosa CMP-153 Stereo TRS 3.5mm to dual 1/4" cable 3ft TRS Male Dual 1/4" TS M

 Connect the cables

Use the diagram above to connect the breakout box to the SDR-1000 and your speakers. If making your own

cables, note that the 1/8" tip connects to the odd numbered plugs while the 1/8" ring connects to the even

numbered plugs. If using the Hosa Cable Set from FlexRadio, the double 1/4" cables connect to Outputs 1-4

and Inputs 1-2. The orange cables go to the even numbered plugs. The single 1/4" Mic cable connects to

Input 3.

                       *********************************************************************************

6. Turn the radio on ? Load the software after COMPLETED go to setup General Hardware Config  below picture 1 on the screen set you LPT address when you fine the right one ,and when you hit the standby button you'll here the relay on the flex come alive.

WITHOUT THIS SET FIRST THE RADIO WILL NOT WORK

THE FLEX TALKS TO THE COMPUTER FROM THIS SET UP

YOUR LPT ADDRESS MIGHT BE DIFFERENT
